Crazy weekend in the hot-h0t-hot metropolis. Saturday attended an opening at the Whitney uptown. The Charles Burchfields were hypnotic…so was the gossip. Amongst the art world elite, there was designer Lauren Belle raising a glass (or ten) with her new acolyte/Lead Stylist Riley Kendrick. Those two have become quite the duo, even heading downtown to hipster stalwart PDT for some late night antics, I hear. But it looks like Lauren Belle’s new lead hair stylist, Riley Kendrick, grew a backbone on the drive up to Bridgehampton. Stopped by the A|X ELLE magazine DISCO GLAM party on Robertson. A-mazing crowd, the fashion elite meets young Hollywood. I’m never one to name drop (ha!) but saw Joe Zee (charming) Annalynne Mccord (gorgeous) Rachel Zoe (flawless), Shannen Doherty (chic), Kelly Osbourne (glam-a-rama), Taryn Manning (glowing) , Kim Kardashian (styled to perfection). But what’s this? I leave town for three days and everyone’s talking about Lauren Belle’s new lead hairstylist, Riley Kendrick. I don’t know her and I know everyone. Who appears out of nowhere to curate the coifs of New York’s most important designer? Don’t worry, dear readers, I’m strapping on my Alex Wang open-toed booties and hitting the streets to find out…
Stopped by the Ace Hotel last night — the It spot of the moment for the size Zero-Zero crowd — and who do I see suavely sipping an 18-year Glenlivet but Jack Michaels, the hot (literally and figuratively) fashion photog. He’s shot everybody…well, everybody important. And while I know he had a long-term thing with a major designer who will remain nameless (for now) the word on set is that a certain young stylist has fallen head-over-Louboutins for him. Watch your back, Jack! (And, um, call me?)

I think we all assumed Danielle would be booked with her usual go-to designer as they unveil their line of Couture T-shirts over Garavani’s dead-body. Then again, being that she is last year’s hottest new designer, I suppose we shouldn’t be too surprised that DS agreed to work with Ms. Belle for the New York shows this September. Considering, however, that fashion week has a new home in the city — we have to assume Danielle did her homework. Lauren Belle’s managed to keep her latest style secrets under wraps so far, but if DS is hitching her name to this star, you can bet the new line is A-mazing.
